MEGA Industries – Gorham, Maine
MEGA INDUSTRIES, purchased by ANANIA & Associates Investment Company LLC in November 2000, was originally incorporated in May 1989.
Since that time the Company has enjoyed steady growth from its modest beginning in to a world leader in the manufacture of microwave transmission equipment. In June 1991, MEGA INDUSTRIES acquired the assets of Microwave Techniques in Raymond, Maine. MEGA moved its operations to the 70,000-square foot facility formerly occupied by MTI. This move allowed the Company to expand it’s manufacturing and enhance its research and development of new products to provide a complete line of materials and services related to the microwave industry to meet the needs of its expanding customer base.
The transition from a “new” company to a world leader in its chosen field reflects over three decades of technical and managerial experience by our staff. In fact, several members of MEGA’s management were instrumental in the development of worldwide programs such as the SPS-49, Aegis, Patriot, TRC-170, and OTH radar systems. Our technical staff works closely with customer engineers as well as scientists at universities and research facilities. This “sharing” of technical expertise allows MEGA to be at the forefront in developing and supporting new and existing programs. In 2003, MEGA received an Export Achievement Award from Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans in recognition of the company’s success in international markets.
In 1997 MEGA moved into a new modern manufacturing plant in Gorham, Maine which was expanded in 2013. This move put MEGA closer to both ocean and air shipping ports and makes it much easier for our customers to visit our facility and to see your products in production. MEGA is currently supplying equipment for radar systems, commercial microwave ovens, broadcast equipment, air traffic control systems, medical research, linear accelerators and fusion energy research.
